June 1, 2020—Indiantown, FL—ITS Fiber announced it has successfully completed the Service Organization Controls (SOC) examination for the period January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019. ITS Fiber recently received its seventh consecutive SOC 2® Type 2 examination and now has a SOC 3® report available upon request.
The SOC 2 examination focused on ITS Fiber’s adherence to the Trust Service Principles and Criteria set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). SOC guidelines provide an authoritative and independent benchmark for service organizations to demonstrate implementation of proper control procedures and practices. The Type 2 examination not only looks at the policies and procedures in place at a given point in time, but also validates their effectiveness over an extended time period.
“Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance for the seventh year in a row, and now a SOC 3 general report, completes an important milestone for ITS Fiber. We are proud to have this rigorous validation of the high standards we set for our operating and security practices, which allows customers to confidently use our ITS Fiber Data Center facility and related services,” said CEO, Jeff Leslie. “With our SOC 3 report, we can immediately show customers the information on how we meet the most demanding requirements for the security, availability, and confidentiality of their protected data and information.”
“We are committed to providing the highest quality virtual and colocation solutions and a safe, secure environment for sensitive customer data,” explained Jeff Meyer, Director of IT Services. “Data security and privacy will always be a top priority for us and receiving the approval of the SOC 2 Type 2 examination is proof of our commitment to that objective."
